Title & Exam Department:

Our Title and Exam department is staffed by highly experienced experts in title searches and the examination. The department is managed by Mike Thompson with over 20 years in the industry.   Fred Barela is now in his 40th year providing title services.  We can’t count how many years of experience Fred Apodaca has under his belt.  Cindy Delbrook rounds out our search and exam staff with over two decades of title search and examination experience, not to mention several years working in the business in a neighboring state.  Jennifer Pearson specializes in title report research and preparation as well as in updating the only local title plant in Santa Fe.   Susie Jaramillo sets up new files & processes new orders, starting the search process.   Victoria Porter handles and distributes title work after completion by our examiners.  Ryan Shea gets the papers and checks in the hands of those who want them most – quickly and efficiently (while keeping the delivery vehicle on all four wheels).   The quality from start to finish is of utmost importance at Southwestern Title.   Our professional team has the track record to instill confidence in the quality of every file we prepare.

Management and Ownership

John Fox, President and owner of Southwestern Title is a native Santa Fean and has practiced law in Santa Fe since 1978.  He practiced with his father, Robert Fox, until 1994 and with the Sommer Fox Law Firm from 1991 to 2001.  John’s legal practice has focused on real estate, title, transactions, exchanges, trusts and estates, and small business.  John is a graduate of  the University of New Mexico and of Santa Fe’s St. Michael’s High School.  John believes strongly in supporting local businesses and education.
